Mr. Thanin Pa-Em, Member of National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA)

Mr. Thanin is a Member of the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) in Thailand.

With comprehensive experience in strategic planning works and technical project management both at macro and micro levels, Mr Thanin's career path included Chief of Policy and Programmes for International Cooperation (1992-1995), Deputy Director of Office of the Regional Economic Development Cooperation Committee Centre of Integrated Planning for operation (1995-1997), Deputy Director of Overall Planning Division (1997-1999), Director of Government and Private Co-ordination Division (1999-2002), Director of Competitiveness Development Office (2003-2007), and Senior Advisor in Policy and Planning (2007-2010).

He has been responsible for formulating strategies for economic restructuring and competitiveness enhancement as well as creating driving platform for relevant policies and measures. His current responsibility also includes the monitoring and evaluating national strategic plans and critical government policies. In addition, he has been assigned to coordinate the formulation of 11th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2012-2016) and translating the Plan into action for sustainable development of the country.

Mr. Thanin has produced a number of papers and articles including works on real sector development, how to strategically support enterprises which most of them are SMEs, and creating favorable environment based on national development framework. He has given lectures for graduate courses at the Burapha University and National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).
