Powering the Future We Want: special grant for sustainable transport

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, or DESA, is offering a second US$ 1 million grant to fund sustainable development.

Called "Powering the Future We Want," the annual grant will be awarded to one winner every year, until 2019.

It was first awarded last year and the thematic focus for this year's applicants, is sustainable transport.

UN-DESA Director of the Division of Sustainable Development, Mr Juwang Zhu, has been speaking to Janie Cangelosi.
